POSTED: 1:30 pm CDT July 19, 2011 UPDATED: 1:55 pm CDT July 19, 2011 NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Hornets are slated to open the 2011-12 season at home against the Chicago Bulls and host the Miami Heat one week later in a schedule released Tuesday by the NBA.The move comes as the league and its players struggle to end a lockout and reach agreement on terms that would likely overhaul the way — and the amounts — players are paid. Many analysts believe the entire upcoming season could be scrapped.If a deal is done in time, however, the Hornets will be at home on Nov. 2, when they take on the Chicago Bulls.
