Hornets trade Cole Aldrich, Morris Peterson to Thunder for Craig Brackins, Quincy Pondexter

The New Orleans Hornets finalized a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder this morning that sent the rights to Cole Aldrich and guard Morris Peterson in exchange for the rights to Craig Brackins and Quincy Pondexter.

Not much else going on in the NBA world today.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have acquired the draft rights to Cole Aldrich and veteran forward Mo Peterson from the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for the rights to Craig Brackins and Quincy Poindexter. Hornets trade Aldrich to Thunder

The New Orleans Hornets have agreed to trade Cole Aldrich and veteran shooting guard Morris Peterson to Oklahoma City for the Thunders’ 21st and 26th picks in the first round. Peterson is heading into the final year of a four-year $23 million contract.

Nuggets trading Lawson for draft pick?

The Denver Nuggets are looking to get a Top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, according to ESPN. The site reports that Nuggets GM Mark Warkentein has been trying to figure out which teams would be interested in such a deal and is offering guard Ty Lawson (notes) for the draft pick. Lawson, who was drafted in the first round last year by the Minnesota Timberwolves and then traded to the Nuggets for a future first-round pick, averaged 8.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game last season.
